The Learning Centre
The Learning Centre incorporates the Library and a suite of 17 multimedia computers. There is an extensive range of facilities and services available:-

Curriculum areas can block book computer facilities to match their syllabus needs. A departmental curriculum map is issued at the beginning of the academic year showing the pre-arranged blocked bookings. Any time which is not allocated can be booked. Any students sent to the Learning Centre during lessons must have a fully completed Learning Centre slip. These are needed to help with supervision and the analysis of Learning Centre use.
Resource request sheets are available to staff and needs will be met whenever possible. Stationery and computer discs are available for purchase at the Library desk by pupils at break and lunchtimes.
We often receive pupils work and artefacts which are turned into displays whenever possible.
The Learning Centre Administrator, Mrs Drage, is happy to prepare loan boxes at the request of staff with a few days notice. Boxes are also available from Northants Library Service.
The Learning Centre is popular at lunchtime with board games, jigsaws, audio tapes and CDs which are available for students to use. Competitions are held regularly to encourage student particitipation; these are well supported by teaching staff. The college also runs a Chess Club, which is hosted by the Learning Centre during Thursday lunchtimes.
The Learning Centre remains open until 4.00pm for Homework Club.
